Vertical & Inclined Ladders
Designed to BSEN 14122 Part 3, they are available in mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium — each finished to suit the operating environment.
Our vertical cat ladders are a reliable and cost-effective solution for fixed access to rooftops, plant areas, maintenance walkways, and building service zones.
Inclined ladder systems offer an alternative where space permits a shallower approach angle, providing improved ergonomics for regular or frequent access. Both types can be supplied with integral safety cages, rest platforms, and secondary handrail systems where required by risk assessment or regulation.

DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION DETAILS
All ladder and step systems are designed in accordance with BSEN 14122 Part 3, the European standard governing fixed means of access to machinery and structures. Material selection is determined by the site environment, loading requirements, and any specific client or architect specification
Material Options
- Mild Steel — cost-effective, galvanised or painted to specification
- Stainless Steel — grade A2 or A4 for corrosive or hygienic environments
- Aluminium — lightweight, low maintenance, powder-coated or mill finish
- GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) — for electrical isolation or aggressive chemical environments
Fixings & Anchorage
- Grade A2 stainless steel or bright zinc plated mild steel fixings
- Insulation provided where required to prevent catalytic reaction between dissimilar metals
- Carbon steel Lindapter-type girder clamps for attachment to existing steelwork
- Hilti-type resin anchors for fixing to concrete substrates
Installation is only carried out following the approval of a specific Method Statement and Risk Assessment, prepared for each project and reviewed against the conditions on site. This ensures the safety of installation operatives and any other personnel in the vicinity during the works.
